All-in-one solution for parking and charging electronic vehicles
In this project, I was responsible for ux-, ui- and visual design and concept design. We had a design team of three ux designers involved in this app. I started working with this project in 2023.
Developing the usability and features after the first launch
I started with this project right after the first version of the app was just being released. There was some great features already but obviously lot of needs to improve the usability, flows and features.
Finding the core points that needed to be developed
We conducted some very agile user test sessions because it was necessary to understand the user groups and their needs – what are the expectations and how they feel the app. I also completed an expert evaluation to the app and gathered findings from the analytic tools.
It was clear that we needed to simplify the core functionality and re-structurize the app a bit. Also the overall concept needed to be clarified and pushed further.
Concrete steps to improve the app usability
I simplified onboarding flow so it’d be easier and quicker to start using the application. I also re-designed the crucial core flows like parking and charging to be more intuitive. I removed some unnecessary steps and simplified the views so the needed actions and data is available for the users at the right time.
In addition to that I re-designed the app structure a bit by combining the most needed features more logical way. Accessibility wise, I made an evaluation and designed all touch areas large enough, improved the type system, made some correction to the color palettes and simplified the interface language to be more human-centric.
There are lot of features and improvements I have designed and proposed. As we are working with agile state of minds those needs are prioritized, tested and eventually implemented.
